Wind Fairing

A full-length aluminum roof rack for the 1990 to 1997 Land Cruiser 80 Series and Lexus LX450. Ten crossbars between 1/4 in aluminum sideplates, clamped to the factory rain gutters with steel mounts. No drilling.

/WHY IT IS HERE

The 80 Series is the truck this shop grew out of. Sherpa build this rack in Colorado for every 80: FJ80, FZJ80, HDJ81 and the LX450. If you are not sure which one you have, the codes are explained here. More parts for the truck are in the 80 Series collection.

/KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY
  • Built to order in Colorado. Sherpa quote 3 to 4 weeks to build it, then 2 to 5 business days in transit in the lower 48.
  • It ships by UPS with a signature required, and not to a PO box. Check the box before you sign. Any damage has to be written on the delivery form for the carrier claim, and we need photos within 2 business days.
  • Pick the fairing at checkout. Half height leaves room under the wind fairing for a single row light bar of any length. Full height is for a rack that will never carry one. The racks are otherwise identical, and Sherpa sell the fairing on its own if you change your mind.
  • Two people, 1 to 2 hours, no drilling. Sherpa's install guide (PDF) covers it.
  • Load ratings assume weight spread evenly across the rack. For a hardshell tent, Sherpa recommend spreading it over four crossbars.
  • The sunroof keeps working. Keep the rack out of automatic car washes.
  • The crossbars have no holes in the top. Gear mounts with 1/4-20 drop-in T-nuts or carriage bolts, or any clamp that fits a 1 x 2 in bar.
/WHICH ONE

Sherpa cut a rack for each Land Cruiser generation before the 200. The Mineral for the 1980 to 1990 60 Series, The La Sal for the 1990 to 1997 80 Series and Lexus LX450, and The Oxford for the 1998 to 2007 100 Series and Lexus LX470. To dress one: tent mounts, awning mounts or the HD awning mount, the Adapt Plate and the Starlink Mini mounts.
