A mini tripod with a 1/4-20 lantern head mount that still raises a LightRanger 800 or 1200 to 4.5 ft. It packs to 16.5 in with the lantern head on and weighs from 20 oz.

/WHY IT IS HERE

4.5 ft from something that stows at 16.5 in is the trade worth making. On a tailgate or a table it is enough height to light a working area, and it fits where a full tripod does not: adventure motorcycles, small vehicles, anywhere storage is measured in inches.

/KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY
  • Pick the fitting for your lantern. It is sold in an 800 mount and a 1200 mount. They are not interchangeable.
  • The 16.5 in packed length and 20 oz weight are measured with the 800 lantern head attached.
  • The legs snap together for storage, so they do not splay in a bag.
/SETTING IT UP
  • Loosen the locking nut at the top of the legs.
  • Pull one leg free of the other two at the bottom.
  • Push the middle pole up, spread the legs, retighten the nut.
  • Fit the lantern head and extend the pole.
