Devos LightRanger 1200, Telescoping Camp Light

A 1200 lumen telescoping light on a full-size tripod. At full height the head sits above shoulder level, so it lights a table, a gear pile and the ground between them without a hotspot. 5 lb, IP56, and it runs 80 hours on the low setting.

This is the size most people want: bright enough to run a camp kitchen off, small enough to live in a duffel, and it recharges rather than eating batteries.

/WHICH SIZE

The middle of the range. The 800 Mini packs smaller for a motorcycle, the 2000 adds Bluetooth control and more output, and the two-light kit covers a bigger site from two corners.

/KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY

• 3.75 hours at full output, 80 hours at the lowest. Running it flat out all evening is not what it is for; at a usable camp brightness it will outlast the trip.
• IP56, so rain and spray are fine. It is not rated for submersion.
• The full-size tripod is included, unlike the separate mini tripods.
• Devos do not publish a packed length.
