A 42 litre aluminium case, handmade in Denmark. Gasket sealed against dust and water, padlockable latches, and cast corners that lock into the next AluBox when you stack them.
/WHY IT IS HERE
The 42L is the only AluBox that has been tested and certified bear resistant by the IGBC. That makes it legal food storage in national parks and bear country that require it, with no extra container.
/KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY
- Dust and water resistant, not waterproof. Do not submerge it.
- Foam inserts, insulated liners, RuumX dividers and roof rack mounts are sold separately and are not in this shop.
- Two 42L cases sit side by side in the back of most SUVs and trucks, AluBox say.
- Returns: unused and unopened, within 30 days. AluBox only take back sealed items, so check the size before you open it. Refund policy.
/WHICH ONE
Same footprint, two heights. The 42L is 9.5 in tall, with a handle on the front and both sides. The 60L is 13 in tall, side handles only, for tall bottles and pans. Only the 42L carries the bear certificate.
